Online CSM course is designed with interactive sessions that are spaced at appropriate intervals to augment the self-paced online learning content on LMS. The online interactive sessions of 2 hours are planned to be conducted at 4 weeks of intervals, which are easy to manage in busy schedules. Experienced Faculty Interactions provides the opportunity to address practical problems that you face while dealing with a couple of subfertility. This course is designed to equip the participants with practical knowledge, skills, and practical perspectives on basic infertility management, including intrauterine insemination.

Course Outcomes:

• Demonstrate understanding of developmental norms and processes in female and male reproduction system.
• Become familiar with the principles and practice of assessment, diagnosis and treatment, including therapeutic modalities of couples presenting to gynecological clinic with sub-fertility.
• Understand the common factors behind female and male sub-fertility and related causes.
• Critically appraise the related couple data for reaching a diagnosis for sub-fertility and its optimum management protocols.
• Develop an understanding for various ovarian stimulation protocols and related effects
• Develop an understanding for sperm preparation techniques with related practical issues.
• Understand the selection of couples for Intrauterine Insemination along with its protocol and complications.
• Become familiar with quality assurance mechanisms in set-ups offering basic subfertility treatments including IUI.

Course Comprises of seven Modules:

Module 1: General Principles of Basic Subfertility Management
Module 2: The Female Patient
Module 3: Ovarian Stimulation of Female Patient
Module 4: Ultrasonographic Monitoring
Module 5: The Male Patient
Module 6: Advances in Basic Subfertility Management (with focus on Intrauterine Insemination)
Module 7: The practical Basic Subfertility Gynecologist

This course is of 3 months duration, with monthly one zoom synchronous sessions of 2 hours (Saturdays 4pm to 6pm PST). A multimedia-rich online component on Learning Management System is an integral part of the course which comprises of animated videos, important links, resources as well as collaborative discussion forums. Formative Assessment  are present in each module while summative assessment include 1 assignment and 1 quiz.
