    New technologies are changing the way we produce and deliver digital learning – with Online Course authoring tools being a must-have in your eLearning Department. 

    An authoring tool is a program that enables you to create a digital course and publish it in select formats. Instead of using code to manually create a course, an authoring tool lets you use drag-and-drop and other user-friendly interfaces to make a course—no coding required. From there, you can upload the content to your preferred learning platform. 

    Course Outcomes:

    • Describe authoring tools and their advantages
    • Develop Learning content with Articulate 360 suit
    • Develop Learning content with Camtasia 
    • Describe and export contents as SCORM for LMS

    Module 1: Authoring tools and Camtasia Studio
    Module 2: Articulate Studio 360 and Engage
    Module 3: Articulate Quizmaker and Rise
    Module 4: h5p contents and LMS integration

    This course is of 8 credit hours, with monthly 2 synchronous sessions of 2 hours (alternate Sundays from 4-6 pm PST) , asynchronous learning on the course site with 4 assignments. A multimedia-rich online component is an integral part of the course. Both synchronous and asynchronous learning tools will be utilized.
